How to install Inbox Zero in Slack

The “Add to Slack” button lives inside your Inbox Zero account. Sign up first (it's free), then follow these five steps from your settings page.

1. Create a free Inbox Zero account

   Sign up at getinboxzero.com and connect your Gmail or Outlook account. An Inbox Zero account is required so the Slack workspace can be linked to your email.

2. Open the Channels page

   After signing in, click Channels in the left sidebar.

3. Click “Connect” next to Slack

   Find Slack in the list and click Connect. This launches the Slack OAuth flow where you can pick the workspace to install Inbox Zero into.

4. Authorize the app in Slack

   Slack will show the requested permissions and an Allow button. Confirm the install — you'll be redirected back to Inbox Zero once the workspace is connected.

5. Pick a channel and start chatting

   Back on the Channels page, select the Slack channel for meeting briefings and notifications. To use the assistant, DM the Inbox Zero bot, @mention it in any channel, or run a slash command like /summary.
